課程概述

The corporate world is in the process of transformation driven by technological innovation and globalization. Strategic management, as a field of inquiry that focuses on the organization as a whole and its interactions with the ever changing environment, takes a panoramic view of this dynamic corporate terrain and attempts to show how large and small firms can be more effective and efficient not only in today’s competition but in tomorrow’s as well. This course aims to provide a comprehensive yet concise description of the core concepts of strategic management that firms need to apply to compete successfully in the fast-paced and boundary-free environment.  

課程目標
1.Orienting students to strategic thinking.
2.Familiarizing students with a set of tools of strategic analysis.
3.Exposing students to how different levels of strategy are crafted and implemented.
4.Equipping students with the ability to monitor and exploit entrepreneurial opportunities.  
課程要求
1.Active and meaningful participation.
2.Thorough understanding of textbook and assigned readings
3.Preparation of mini-case beforehand and participate actively in class discussion.
4.Preparation of HBR articles and by-group presentation.
5.Preparation of Harvard Business School cases and write-ups.

- HBS cases: We will use some Harvard Business School cases in this course. In
addition to printing fees, you are required to pay NT$300 for all 5 HBS cases
as reprint permit fee.
- Lecture Notes and assigned readings (HBR articles): These materials will be
delivered to you or downloadable from CEIBA website.
